A Corn Maze!
We had a lot of fun this fall doing a corn maze with Mijken and her kids. It was good entertainment to keep us busy on the weekends while we waited for harvest to finish up. We were a little nervous that if it was only Mijken and I around we would end up with someone lost and we wouldn't be able to help them find their way out, even if we were the ones that made it! It turned out great and I think Ashley and Emma figured out the course and could make it out in five minutes. Luckily we had no one lost, just a few bloody fingers from the sharp corn stalks.
Tayson and Jaci making Mr. Potato head faces on the pumpkins. The pumpkins were from Mijken's garden and the faces made a nice touch to add to the maze.
It turned out great, but we can't quite take all the credit. We did have some funny times trying to ask Jesus and the other wokers to help us in our not so fluent spanish. Mijken and I make a good team, but some things like a four wheeler stuck in a pivot track in the middle of a maze is a little more than an expecting mom, a mom with a baby and four other kids ages 4 and under to handle. We appreciate Jesus coming to save us getting the four wheeler/"moto"/"vroom vroom" out of the maze!
