We had only one thing that we really wanted to do this summer and that was go on a family camping trip with just our little family. It was so much fun and we really really enjoyed ourselves. It started out a little crazy. We tried to camp in Howe near the place that we had some cows ranging, but after hours of driving (really bumping driving on some crazy roads in our mini van of course) we decided it was not the best place to camp. I was spoiled growing up 5 minutes from the mountains and camping just isn't camping unless there are trees, mountains, water and green grass. Bob had found a perfect spot earlier when they were moving cows, the only problem was we couldn't get there with our car. So instead we drove towards Victor (we were headed there anyway for my class reunion) and sometime in the middle of the night we found a great camping spot that was secluded near Swan Valley at the bottom of piney pass.

The weather was just perfect and we enjoyed hiking and looking at the trees, clouds, and sky.
My flower arrangement the kids and Bob brought to me.
We of course had to go for a drive to get square ice-cream cones from the Rainy Creek Store in Swan Valley.
We had a fun little creek by our camping spot and the kids had a blast in the water.

The whole trip was so fun, it was so nice to just have some quiet down time with no where to be and no where to go and no phone service! We laughed and played and laughed and played. I love these bonding times with our family especially as our kids are growing so quickly and time passes way too fast. I am sure it will be a trip forever remembered.
